Role Overview
As a Product Data Analyst at Turo, you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies. Reporting to the Risk and Protection domain, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Trust and Safety teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
Analytical Insight Generation
- Analyze complex data sets to identify areas of opportunities and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Present analysis and recommendations to executive leadership, fostering data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with product teams to rapidly execute and iterate based on feedback.
Data Infrastructure and Experimentation
- Establish data specifications, build ETL pipelines, and assess the impact of new product releases and policy changes.
- Lead experimentation initiatives, from designing tests to analyzing results, to inform product launch decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, data science, and operations leadership to influence product direction, focusing on improving user experience and business profitability.
- Support ad-hoc analytical projects aligned with Turo's strategic priorities.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in product/data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or strategy consulting, preferably in consumer tech, marketplaces, or e-commerce.
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in conducting detailed data analysis and utilizing metrics to drive business results.
- Solid SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases; experience with BI & visualization tools such as DOMO or Tableau is advantageous.
- Experience transforming data into compelling presentations that communicate insights effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, with a knack for storytelling through data visualization.
Personal Attributes
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience designing and executing AB tests is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses cross-functional teamwork experience.
- Positive attitude, high integrity, and strong work ethic are essential.
Compensation and Benefits
The SF base salary target range for this full-time position is $118,000 - $147,000 + equity + benefits. In addition to competitive compensation, Turo offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
