Profile Overview:

  • Role: Seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and computer science.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights.
    • Utilize insights to inform and drive strategic decisions within the organization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and design experiments.
    • Develop predictive models and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
    • Implement data science solutions and techniques independently.
    • Conduct research, prototyping, and data gathering.
    • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement and monitor model outcomes.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Proficiency in data analysis and a deep understanding of problem statements.
    • Ability to learn new tools, languages, and platforms quickly.
    • Comfort with Agile development methodologies.
    • Experience in deploying AI/ML-based solutions to drive value in the retail sector.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Must-have:
      • Python: Expert-level proficiency.
      • SQL: Expert-level proficiency.
      • Pyspark: Intermediate-level proficiency.
      • Databricks: Intermediate-level proficiency.
      • JIRA: Beginner to intermediate proficiency.
    • Good to have:
      • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
      • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture.
      • Experience within the retail domain.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year in data science and consulting, with a preference for experience in the retail sector.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
    • Agile mindset and quick learning capabilities.
