Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain innovative data science applications supporting multiple business verticals across MSCI.

  • Actively participate in MSCI’s AI adoption journey, focusing on implementing real-world machine learning and generative AI solutions.

  • Work with various stakeholders across data, content, and technology functions to ensure seamless integration of AI-driven tools.

  • Collaborate on designing and deploying functionality related to LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, and agentic AI solutions.

  • Build and optimize NLP models and text-processing pipelines to enhance MSCI’s internal and external platforms.

  • Work closely with product management and operations teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Support the integration of AI solutions within client-facing delivery platforms.

  • Adhere to best practices in software engineering, ensuring robust and scalable code.

  • Work with QA teams to ensure solutions undergo rigorous testing before deployment.

  • Ensure compliance with cloud-based deployment models, especially leveraging Azure and Google Cloud services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.

  • Strong foundation in data exploration, data visualization, statistical modeling, and data mining.

  • Practical experience in AI and ML solution development and deployment into production.

  • Strong programming proficiency in Python with an emphasis on NLP-based solutions.

  • Exposure to large language models (LLMs), LangChain, LangGraph, and agentic AI will be a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with text processing and natural language understanding.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (Azure or GCP).

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and agile development environment using methodologies such as test-driven development and pair programming.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams across business functions.

  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
