Profile Overview

  • The Analyst - Data Science role sits within the Analytics, Investment Optimization and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team, which operates under the Global Commercial Services (GCS) Marketing group.

  • The AIM team functions as the analytical engine powering decision-making for the global Commercial Card and Non-Card businesses.

  • In this position, you will work on critical analytics initiatives, including campaign measurement, marketing performance, ROI analysis, customer behavior studies, and portfolio analytics.

  • The role requires close partnership with GCS Marketing stakeholders to evaluate marketing campaigns, assess customer responses, and deliver actionable recommendations for business growth.

  • Responsibilities extend to creating dashboards, generating regular performance reports, and developing frameworks for tracking marketing initiatives.

  • You will collaborate with global teams, bringing in insights that influence strategy and execution across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct portfolio analytics to uncover trends, customer segments, and growth opportunities.

  • Support marketing partners by measuring campaign effectiveness, calculating ROI, and delivering insights that directly inform strategy.

  • Partner with GCS Marketing to build and implement analytical solutions that guide leadership decisions.

  • Prepare and deliver timely reports, including monthly summaries, highlighting marketing performance outcomes for senior leaders.

  • Create dashboards and frameworks that provide visibility into campaign and portfolio activities, enabling leaders to make informed decisions.

  • Identify process improvements and drive automation in analytical reporting and measurement systems.

  • Work cross-functionally with technology, product, and marketing teams to align goals and deliver holistic insights.

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactively identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions.

  • Apply statistical techniques and machine learning where relevant to enhance analysis and predictions.

  • Engage with stakeholders effectively, ensuring alignment of priorities and clarity of insights provided.

  • Develop success metrics to evaluate initiatives and ensure transparency in outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Strong technical foundation with proficiency in SQL and Python. These skills are essential for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.

  • Familiarity with big data programming environments, distributed computing frameworks, or cloud-based platforms is an advantage.

  • Experience or exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights effectively.

  • Ability to connect business questions with analytical approaches, balancing statistical rigor with practical outcomes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments, geographies, and organizational layers.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects in parallel.
