Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other STEM-related fields.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in analytics and business intelligence, preferably gained in a consulting or project-oriented environment.

  • Proficiency in programming languages used for data analysis such as Python or R.

  • Ability to design and write advanced SQL queries to manipulate and extract insights from structured databases.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects for storytelling through data.

  • Practical exposure to Agile development environments and collaborative software engineering methods.

  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills, particularly in assessing data quality and ensuring accurate outputs.

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and adaptability when working with new datasets, systems, or technical challenges.

  • Understanding of business requirements and translating them into data solutions using the best available technologies.


Additional Info:

  • The role requires US citizenship due to federal contract obligations.

  • An interim Secret Clearance is mandatory to begin work; a full Secret Clearance must be maintained throughout the employment period.

  • Candidates with previous client-facing experience, especially in the context of federal finance or government projects, are preferred.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Power Platform, or Power BI are considered beneficial.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Power Automate, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, SharePoint, and integration techniques using REST APIs or PowerShell scripting is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Support for Data Analytics Projects

  • Participate in building large-scale enterprise analytics platforms that align with client business goals.

  • Collaborate with team members and clients using Agile practices to deliver rapid and effective solutions.

  • Work on multiple data-driven initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.

  • Utilize problem-solving skills to analyze business issues and present suitable technical solutions.

Application of Technical Tools and Methods

  • Use data science tools and programming languages like Python or R to analyze, clean, and interpret data.

  • Build statistical models and simulations based on organizational needs.

  • Utilize SQL for querying large datasets and identifying meaningful trends.

  • Enhance business reporting using business intelligence software, transforming raw data into insights.

Data Quality Assessment and Visualization

  • Evaluate datasets for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues through automated scripts and SQL routines.

  • Create impactful dashboards and reports to share key findings and performance indicators with clients.

  • Make recommendations for improving existing reporting systems and data flow processes.
