About the Role:

We are seeking a senior Data Scientist to focus on machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling for predictive and prescriptive enterprise analytics. The successful candidate will:

Responsibilities:

• Investigate advanced techniques in machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable systems for innovative analytics applications in functional areas like Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
• Work with diverse data sources, including time series data, graph data, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Build statistical/machine-learning models to support on-demand, real-time analytic services.
• Explain analytic models and outcomes to business stakeholders.

Team and Location:

You will be part of Signify’s Enterprise Information Management – Advanced Analytics team based in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and Development:

  • Research, design, and prototype robust and scalable models based on machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling to address key business problems.

• Data Analysis and Support Structures:

  • Build tools and structures for data analysis, data cleaning, feature selection, and feature engineering.
  • Deliver projects in collaboration with best practices.

• Collaboration:

  • Work with development teams and business groups to ensure the implementation of models in delivered solutions.
  • Ensure replicability across multiple markets/countries.

• Communication:

  • Present findings to stakeholders, driving improvements and solutions from concept to delivery.

• Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field through continuous learning.
  • Proactively champion promising new methods relevant to current challenges.

Qualifications:

• PhD/Masters/B.Tech in computer science, computer engineering with 5+ years of experience in Advanced Analytics/Machine Learning.
• Demonstrated history of driving and delivering analytics models and solutions with hands-on experience in forecasting, ML, DL.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling fundamentals.
• Project experience applying these methods to real-world problems.
• Strong skills in software prototyping and engineering using Python, R, SQL.
• Exposure to open source machine learning and analytics packages. Knowledge of SAP Datahub is highly desired.
• Ability and inclination to work in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Desire to see ideas realized in practice.
• Working knowledge of AWS Sagemaker is preferred.
