Job Description:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead a cohesive team of DS developers to streamline collaborative efforts in data science alongside product, Business Analysis (BA), and MLOps teams. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks related to DS model development and redevelopment, as well as supporting deployment across multiple markets for production purposes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading collaboration with MLOps to comprehend industrialization needs and ensuring a smooth transition from DS development to industrialization by offering ample DS support.
- Planning and executing code development/redevelopment, providing direct support to DS developers, and leading model tuning.
- Enforcing proper code standards, comprehensive documentation, and robust code management through version control. Leading regular code reviews with the data scientist project lead.
- Leading testing/evaluation planning with the data scientist project lead, establishing a model evaluation and validation framework in the deployment context, and creating a standard test report structure.
- Ensuring the development and maintenance of production-grade code for swift roll-out purposes, emphasizing high transparency and replicability.
- Leading the planning of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for any identified issues and creating a monitoring plan for production.
- Supporting activities in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase with end-users.
- Serving as a contingency resource for development to ensure timely delivery.
- Establishing a common code base for efficient roll-out in new markets with a highly modular architecture, well-designed data abstraction, high configurability, and a high level of parameterization.
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of profound data science experience.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques in a cloud-based environment (GCP, Azure, Amazon, Databricks).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Spark.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, with a keen sensitivity to algorithm complexity.
- Experience with GCP platforms and services, including BigQuery, Cloud ML Engine, and Cloud Storage.
- Expertise in configuring and setting up version control on Code, Data, and Machine Learning Models using GitHub.
- Strong experience in development planning.
- Good knowledge of coding standards and building reusable services.
- Experience in end-to-end data science project delivery.

Education:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related technical degree OR Equivalent.
