Profile Overview
- The Data Analyst at Zeta will play a pivotal role in ensuring that enterprise software data is organized, analyzed, and presented to drive impactful decisions.
- By utilizing technical expertise, the data analyst will develop systems and dashboards to optimize decision-making for various stakeholders, including business owners, customer stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Key Objectives: To design accurate and high-quality data reporting systems that enable faster, data-driven decisions. The analyst will also identify critical business metrics, provide actionable insights, and recommend product enhancements to improve functionality.
- Collaboration: This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Operations, to build robust data analytics and reporting systems.

Responsibilities
Technical Development
- Build and optimize fast and reliable data reporting systems for use by various teams to facilitate decision-making.
- Develop ETL pipelines using Python and design queries for SQL and NoSQL databases to extract and manage data efficiently.
- Continuously enhance the performance and quality of data systems for improved reporting and faster decision-making.
Dashboard Creation and Reporting
- Design and implement interactive dashboards to visualize and communicate analytical results effectively.
- Regularly monitor key data metrics to ensure accuracy and relevance, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
Business Metrics Analysis
- Identify and analyze critical business metrics to uncover insights that inform product and business strategies.
- Provide recommendations for product features and enhancements based on the identified metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with teams across Engineering, Product, and Operations to conceptualize, design, and build effective reporting systems.
- Work in alignment with team goals to ensure data analysis aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
Ideation and Exploration
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate insights for future projects.
- Provide actionable recommendations and contribute ideas to improve business and product strategies.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields).
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis and manipulation.
- Familiarity with analytical and visualization tools, such as Tableau and Metabase.
- Statistical and Machine Learning Knowledge:
- Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and techniques like classification, linear regression, clustering, and decision trees.
- Collaboration Skills:
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage dependencies effectively.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with a knack for breaking down complex data problems into actionable insights.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
