Profile Overview:

As a Data Scientist at Zeta, you will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and advanced data science techniques. The role offers an opportunity to shape the future of AI applications, contributing to innovative solutions that leverage natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Operations, to design and deploy AI systems, chatbots, and various other models that drive key business outcomes.

In this role, you will be involved in:

• Designing AI-driven systems for Email Suites, Conversational Chatbots, and NLP/ML use cases.
• Developing innovative strategies to operationalize AI solutions and models.
• Engaging in exploratory analysis, providing recommendations for future projects.
• Prototyping solutions quickly while engaging in discussions regarding products and features.
• Creating dashboards to visualize results and monitor crucial data metrics regularly.
• Collaborating with software engineers to ensure the scalable and efficient deployment of AI models into production systems.
• Identifying business metrics and recommending features based on AI insights.

Qualifications:

To excel in the Data Scientist role at Zeta, candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Machine Learning
    • Data Science
    • Applied Statistics
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (even relevant internship experience works) with a demonstrated ability to develop machine learning solutions.

• Key Technical Skills:

  • Strong foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and familiarity with:
    • Pandas
    • NumPy
    • SciPy
    • Scikit-Learn
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and model development.
  • Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, or other distributed computing systems for large-scale data training.
  • Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, such as:
    • Decision Trees
    • Random Forests
    • Boosting methods

• Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to frame business problems as data science solutions.
  • Hands-on experience running data science projects end-to-end and building Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
  • Effective communication with business stakeholders to understand requirements and present analytical results.

• Additional Skills (Good to Have):

  • Knowledge of experimental design and experience handling skewed datasets.
  • Experience in specific domains like:
    • Recommendation Systems
    • Chatbots
    • Summarization
  • Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
