Team Description

Join our dynamic Data & Applied Sciences team based in Hyderabad, India, dedicated to leveraging advanced analytics and data science to inform strategic decisions and enhance product performance across various Windows products. We are committed to utilizing the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve critical business challenges and shape the future of collaboration experiences and personal computing.

Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Ownership

As a Data Analyst, you will specialize in owning and analyzing critical business questions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including program management, development, design, and hardware and application partners. Your primary responsibility will involve curating and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards business objectives.

Data Analysis and Insights Generation

You will leverage your expertise to deeply analyze real-world user data, identifying actionable insights and experiment ideas to drive business metrics. Your role will encompass evaluating the return on investment for new initiatives, assessing if investments align with customer and business expectations, and designing and evaluating experiments to measure growth and performance.

Strategy Development and Optimization

Drawing on your analytical prowess, you will contribute to strategic decision-making processes by providing insights that inform investment priorities and identify emerging opportunities and challenges. Your ability to conduct statistical analysis and causal analysis will be instrumental in guiding strategic investments and optimizing product performance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field; OR Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and common database management.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quick data analysis using Python.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and deriving actionable insights from datasets.
  • Familiarity with evaluating experimentation and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of causal analysis is advantageous.
