About the Role
Skill Profile: We seek "data science allrounders" with deep expertise in at least one modeling area (e.g., Deep Learning or Simulations) alongside a basic understanding of diverse data science models. The ideal candidate should have a passion for both data and business, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
Hands-on Approach: Data scientists are expected to be deeply involved in data manipulation and insight extraction. From identifying and understanding business problems to formulating and translating them into data-solvable problem statements, the role requires a hands-on approach to gathering, analyzing, and modeling data.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and comprehend business challenges amenable to data-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and build robust models.
- Translate business issues into data-solvable problem statements, employing a combination of mathematical, statistical, and machine learning techniques to develop actionable insights.
- Rigorously test and analyze models/heuristics with a business-centric approach, ensuring that model outcomes are communicated effectively to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operational and cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies, working closely with product and technology teams to implement model outputs into core company products.
Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess strong mathematics, logic, and programming skills, coupled with a deep understanding of operations research, statistics, machine learning, or natural language processing.
Key Requirements:
- Proficient in mathematics, logic, and programming (Python or equivalent), with the ability to develop end-to-end solutions to industry challenges.
- Deep expertise in operations research, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, or simulations, with the ability to apply them to real-world problems.
- Strong communication skills across written, oral, and visual mediums, with a keen ability to distill complex technical concepts into easily understandable insights for business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end solutions to industry challenges, with 1-3 years of experience for Data Scientist I and 3-6 years for Data Scientist II.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in STEM from a top-tier institution, domestic or international.
