As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing HackerRank's mission to "Accelerate the World’s Innovation." You will thrive in collaboration with an outstanding engineering team dedicated to creating more opportunities for individuals by revolutionizing the hiring practices of companies. Your excitement for making a significant impact is key. Additionally, you will take the lead in constructing an Infrastructure toolkit applicable to all HackerRank products. Our technology stack encompasses React, Rails, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and various AWS services such as SQS, S3, and Redshift. We harness Docker containers innovatively to enhance developer workload performance through Kubernetes.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Implementing top-notch DevOps practices for all product development teams at HackerRank, ensuring widespread adoption. 

• Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines across our infrastructure environments, from developer and QA to production. 

• Conceptualizing, implementing, and deploying optimal DevOps tooling and automation for all our services. 

• Contributing to the development of consumer-facing Ops infrastructure at HackerRank on a substantial scale.

 

We are seeking candidates with: 

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in DevOps and AWS. 

• Technical expertise in AWS, GCP, Ubuntu, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/GKE, OpsGenie, Honeybadger, Newrelic, and ELK. 

• Proficiency in coding with Python and Java. 

• Experience in setting up alerts and monitoring for system infrastructure. 

• Knowledge in monitoring system and application health, cost optimization, and optimizing the utilization of Redis, Redshift, RDS, Memcache, ElasticSearch, Resque. 

• Expertise in security, threat modeling, penetration testing, and static analysis. 

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery, including setting up and operating systems like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and providing infrastructure support for multiple suites of regression testing.
