The Community You Will Join:

We seek a Lead Advanced Analyst for our Analytics Centre of Excellence, specifically in the Community Support Digital Analytics team. This pivotal role requires expertise in constructing analytical solutions, establishing trust with product teams and business leaders, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. Situated within the Advanced Analytics family, this position supports product and business leaders within the Community Support Products organization.

Serve as a data thought partner to product and business leaders, offering insights and recommendations for data-informed decisions.
Take charge of daily product analytics, constructing scalable data tools.
Develop advanced analytical capabilities using Airbnb’s cutting-edge machine learning infrastructure, collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and operation agents to achieve shared goals.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to Airbnb’s mission of belonging.
Deepen understanding of guest and host interactions with the Digital Support platform, enhancing the overall digital customer experience.

A Typical Day:

Lead the product analytics roadmap, prioritizing and delivering solutions within the Digital Analytics space.
Manage projects from inception to completion, establishing timelines, milestones, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with product managers and business leads to design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests.
Build credibility and trust within the team, facilitating quick and easy answers to data questions through high-quality datasets and dashboards.
Work with Product Engineering to specify logging and collaborate with Analytics Engineering to build data tools for mass consumption within Airbnb.
Develop business metric frameworks and optimization models for optimal decision-making in support of Airbnb’s product, operations, and policy issues.
Influence data-driven decisions across global sites and business verticals through business reviews, self-serve portals, planning scorecards, and impact analyses.

Your Expertise:

Over 8 years of industry experience with an advanced degree in Business Analytics or a related quantitative field (Masters or PhD is a plus).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
Proven track record of delivering end-to-end data projects with tangible business impact.
Advanced proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, programming languages (Python, R, SAS), and intermediate knowledge of data foundations and databases (Presto, Hive, Teradata, Spark).
Familiarity with EDA, hypothesis testing, regression models, machine learning concepts, A/B testing, multivariate testing, and digital funnel testing.
Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau or Superset for report and dashboard development.
Positive and solution-oriented mindset, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and autonomy, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Exposure to the travel industry, digital, or eCommerce domain is a plus.
