The Food and Beverage Business Analyst role at Walt Disney World Resort involves leveraging extensive datasets to provide top-tier business insights for the Food and Beverage Line of Business. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Food and Beverage Insights and Analytics, the analyst applies metrics and analytics techniques to address business questions and collaborates on cross-functional projects. Responsibilities include solution engineering to clean and curate data, developing efficient data pipelines, and creating tailored data visualizations to support business recommendations. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to simplify complex problems, experience in analytics or statistical models, proficiency in database technologies and data visualization tools, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.

Job Summary:

In the role of Food and Beverage Business Analyst, you will be tasked with exploring extensive datasets, delivering top-tier business insights to the Food and Beverage Line of Business. Your responsibilities will involve leveraging data and your comprehensive understanding of the business' KPIs, along with the data used for their development, to effectively address business inquiries from our Food and Beverage clients.

You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Food and Beverage Insights and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics: Apply Food and Beverage metrics to derive actionable insights. Utilize analytical techniques to gain insights into our guests and business. Offer expertise on the application of analytics to support the business.

Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects prioritizing analyses that align with business needs.

Solution Engineering: Identify data requirements, comprehend source data, and proficiently clean and curate data. Develop strategies around business drivers, challenges, and objectives. Create streamlined data pipelines to resolve business problems.

Visualization and Communication: Develop data visualizations to bolster business recommendations. Tailor visualizations to the specific needs of the audience.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to simplify complex problems, synthesize data, and create compelling narratives.
  • Experience in developing analytics or statistical models, preferably within a Food and Beverage organization.
  • Proficiency in database technologies, data visualization tools, and analytics techniques (e.g., SQL and Tableau).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms/technologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
