About the Role:

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist who will be responsible for building and managing machine learning models. The primary goal is to mitigate risk across the merchant and user journey while driving growth across various segments of our business. This role involves developing deep learning models for Fraud & Risk use cases and building in-house foundation models for learning representations of entities within our ecosystem, such as customers, merchants, and devices. You will collaborate with a talented engineering and data science team to deploy models at scale, applying the latest breakthroughs in AI research from both industry and academia to enhance our data product offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Implement sequence and graph representation learning to understand entities' actions and interactions within the evolving Paytm ecosystem.
• Fine-tune models for downstream applications related to entity understanding, fraud prevention, and targeted marketing.
• Design, build, evaluate, and maintain ML/DL models to detect various types of fraud while improving end-user experience.
• Collaborate with product and analytics partners for ML problem formulation and key deliverables alignment.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of machine learning or deep learning projects, from identifying objectives to testing and validating models.
• Apply unsupervised learning methods to augment existing models or detect portfolio anomalies.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of work experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying deep neural network models at scale.
• Knowledge of sequence representation learning with recursive (RNN, LSTM, ELMO) and/or attention-based neural networks (Transformer variations like BERT, GPT).
• Working knowledge of Knowledge Graph representation learning using Graph Neural Network (GraphSage/GAT/Graph Transformer) is a plus.
• Proficiency in ML/DL frameworks (Keras/Tensorflow/PyTorch) and libraries (scikit-learn).
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with object-oriented design methodology and Python application development.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies for managing large volumes of complex data (SQL, PySpark).
• Familiarity with Scala is a plus.
• Passion for learning and implementing state-of-the-art ML/DL algorithms.
• Previous experience in fraud risk is a plus.
• BS in Computer Science or MS in Data Science discipline (or equivalent).
