Position Overview

Joining Hiver as a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) III - Frontend offers a unique opportunity to shape our technical landscape, contribute to our product roadmap, and influence our vibrant company culture. With our user base rapidly expanding and processing over 5 million emails daily, you will be at the forefront of creating and improving the user experience. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of skilled engineers, providing crucial technical direction for front-end development, and addressing complex challenges, such as optimizing our architecture for increased email volume.

As a valued member of our Strategic Initiatives team, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic and high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive, responsive frontend systems for various form factors, covering all aspects from coding to deployment.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation web applications, focusing on reusability and laying foundational groundwork across multiple facets.
  • Define and enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and stakeholders to craft dynamic and engaging user experiences, while staying abreast of emerging standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in building frontend systems.
  • Proficiency in Web Fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Essential experience with VueJS; familiarity with SASS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar modern CSS solutions/frameworks is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices for creating clean, lint-free, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in frontend tooling and a strong understanding of best deployment practices.
  • Architectural mindset with the ability to balance short-term gains and long-term viability, making informed decisions about the optimal approach.
  • Exceptional analytical and debugging skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.

  • Building Outlook add-ins.
  • Backend (full-stack) development.
