The Data Science Analyst 2 is an evolving professional role. This role applies specialized knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and/or evaluating processes and data. It identifies policy gaps and formulates policies, interprets data, and provides recommendations. Research and interpretation of factual information are part of the role, along with identifying inconsistencies in data or results, defining business issues, and formulating policy, procedure, or practice recommendations. This role integrates established disciplinary knowledge within a specialized area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. There is a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in achieving the area's objectives. The role develops a working knowledge of industry practices and standards. The impact on the business is limited but direct through the quality of the tasks/services provided. The job holder's impact is confined to their own team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and enhance data quality.
• Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications, applying a comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively contribute to achieving business objectives.
• Collaborate with users and clients to resolve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards. May recommend solutions.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
• Ensure the quality of work provided by self and others, impacting their own team and closely related work teams.
• Consider the business implications of applying technology to the current business environment.
• Drive communication between business leaders and IT, exhibiting sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This involves compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adherence to policies, application of sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and the escalation, management, and transparent reporting of control issues.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets.
• Proficiency in using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
• Analytical, flexible, team-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
