Profile Overview

• This is an entry-level role designed for those interested in cutting-edge AI applications, especially in the field of Natural Language Processing and Generative AI

• You'll work closely with various internal teams including engineering, data, and product to design, deploy, and monitor AI models

• Role involves using LLMs like GPT, BERT, and T5 for applications such as chatbots, content creation, and semantic search

• Includes hands-on tasks like preprocessing large datasets, training models, fine-tuning pre-trained architectures, and deploying models to production

• A strong understanding of statistics, model evaluation techniques, and bias mitigation is expected

• You'll also help in communicating model performance and outcomes to non-technical stakeholders using visualization tools

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related domain (B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc)

• Must be proficient in programming languages like Python or R

• Should have exposure to libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers

• Comfort with using SQL and NoSQL databases for working with structured and unstructured data

• Understanding of NLP workflows such as tokenization, lemmatization, and named entity recognition

• Experience (even academic or internship) with LLMs is considered a strong advantage

• A mindset for experimentation and continuous improvement is expected

Key Responsibilities

Primary:

• Work with teams to create Generative AI solutions aligned with business goals

• Train and fine-tune LLMs such as GPT, BERT, or T5 for real-world use cases

• Scale AI solutions for production environments, ensuring they are efficient and reliable

• Develop machine learning pipelines using standard libraries like Hugging Face, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

• Build models for applications like chatbots, automated content generation, and semantic search

• Customize and fine-tune pre-trained models to match IDFC FIRST Bank’s specific needs

• Handle large data volumes and integrate them smoothly with AI pipelines

• Build APIs and services to serve model predictions

• Use visualization tools like Tableau, Matplotlib, or Seaborn to present insights

Secondary:

• Work on natural language processing tasks involving large volumes of unstructured text

• Perform text classification, generation, and entity recognition

• Clean and process text data using standard NLP techniques

• Collaborate across departments to develop scalable AI applications

• Constantly stay updated with the latest in Generative AI and NLP research
