Profile Overview:

  • The role belongs to Pearson’s Global Digital Channels and Experience team, which forms a crucial part of its Direct to Consumer (D2C) web marketing and eCommerce division.

  • As a Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist, the selected candidate will contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of the web analytics framework across various Pearson digital platforms.

  • This individual will support data-driven decision-making by ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and integration of analytical tools across the digital ecosystem.

  • They will also contribute to optimizing user experience by working on customer experience measurement tools and supporting A/B testing setups.

  • The role requires a keen interest in analytics, web technologies, and digital marketing measurement frameworks.

  • Capability to design and manage technical tracking solutions that drive accurate, actionable insights.

  • Practical understanding of how client-side triggers are set up for analytics events and how to work with developers for server-side data points.

  • Knowledge of Enhanced eCommerce tracking and how it is implemented across online shopping platforms.

  • Solid JavaScript programming skills, including the ability to build and troubleshoot custom tracking scripts.

  • Familiarity with standard web development languages like HTML and CSS.

  • Comfortable with manipulating and formatting data in JSON, XML, and CSV formats.

  • Bonus points for experience with Python, R, SQL, or data warehousing tools like BigQuery.

  • Familiarity with CX tracking tools such as Hotjar, Crazy Egg, and similar platforms.

  • Prior exposure to SEO best practices, UTM tracking, and tagging for social media and paid campaigns is beneficial.

  • Candidates with previous experience working in Agile environments using Jira or Confluence are preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain digital analytics solutions using Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).

  • Configure marketing technology tools across various digital touchpoints, including survey forms, social media trackers, and user experience platforms.

  • Support the execution of A/B tests and ensure tracking accuracy within test environments.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure GTM tags are implemented, deployed, and maintained efficiently.

  • Monitor data collection processes and troubleshoot tracking errors or measurement issues.

  • Handle access control, user management, and permission settings in Google Analytics and GTM accounts.

  • Collaborate with development teams to define server-side requirements that enable effective client-side data tracking.

  • Contribute to broader data projects including API integrations, database maintenance, and automated reporting.

  • Work with SQL databases and tools like BigQuery to extract, transform, and load marketing and web analytics data.

  • Develop documentation and provide support for analytics implementation across Pearson’s digital channels.
