Profile Overview:

• The Power BI Analyst role is an integral part of the Operations Center, India (INOPC-PGTR), within the PGTR Quality & Operations Team.

• The primary focus is on developing a global operational analytics environment that enhances quality and efficiency.

• The role involves handling key Quality & Operations (QO) activities, resource optimization, and expertise-sharing globally.

• Responsibilities include developing and managing the PGTR QO Power BI workspace and performing ad-hoc analytics using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• The analyst will support reporting and analytics initiatives across business units, contributing to strategic decision-making.

• Collaboration with the Performance & Analytics Team is essential to ensure seamless integration of critical data sources for Power BI visualizations.

• The position demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create intuitive, insightful, and data-driven visualizations.

• As part of the team, the analyst will contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and training on Power BI reports and dashboards.

• The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data modeling, analytics, and Power BI development.

Responsibilities:

Power BI Development & Management:

• Develop and manage the BU-QO’s Power BI workspace for the PGTR QO Management team.

• Ensure the creation of high-quality data visualizations and KPI dashboards using Power BI.

• Collaborate with the HE Performance & Analytics Team for seamless data integration.

• Implement and maintain Power BI data security, including row-level security settings.

• Apply advanced DAX calculations to enhance reporting efficiency.

• Build Analysis Services reporting models for deeper insights.

• Connect multiple data sources and transform them for business intelligence purposes.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Extract, analyze, and interpret data from various business tools.

• Develop tabular and multidimensional models in accordance with warehouse standards.

• Publish and schedule Power BI reports as per business needs.

• Support Quality & Operations teams by providing ad-hoc analytics and scenario modeling.

• Assist in developing knowledge portals in SharePoint for centralized reporting access.

Stakeholder Training & Support:

• Train internal stakeholders on Power BI report usage and dashboard interpretation.

• Maintain an up-to-date online document repository for reporting guidance and best practices.

• Monitor data quality and completeness, ensuring accuracy in all reports.

• Provide ongoing support for data cleansing and data enhancement initiatives.

• Ensure effective communication and collaboration with various business units for reporting optimization.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Develop innovative analytics solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Extensive experience in developing Power BI visualizations based on diverse datasets.

• Strong proficiency in DAX queries, DAX functions, and Power Query Editor.

• Hands-on experience with SAP/S4 HANA data handling (preferred).

• Ability to integrate multiple data sources into Power BI for comprehensive analytics.

• Skilled in developing, publishing, and automating Power BI reports.

• Knowledge of tabular and multidimensional modeling aligned with data warehousing best practices.

• Familiarity with Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access management.

Additional Technical Proficiency:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, SQL Data Warehouse, SSAS, and Power Apps.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience in setting up and managing MS Teams Spaces and SharePoint pages.

• Understanding of organizational structures and operational KPIs within Hitachi Energy (preferred).
