The Consumer Products Exploratory Data Analytics (CP EDA) team functions at the nexus of advanced quantitative engineering, management consulting, data visualization, and domain strategic research within the global Consumer Products sector.
The overarching objective of the CP EDA team is to continually advance, expand, and scale Bain & Company’s global domain expertise across consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail channels, and consumer technology markets.

The position enforces an uncompromising zero-defect policy across all analytical streams, requiring candidates to verify mathematical integrity, logical consistency, and dataset completeness before delivering outputs under tight case timelines.
Role holders synthesize multi-dimensional quantitative findings into concise, structured, and visually compelling data stories, translating heavy technical analytical outputs into executive-ready presentation decks.
Analysts frequently deliver clear, professional presentations to project managers, regional case leaders, and practice directors, articulately communicating key findings, trade-offs, and strategic implications.
Staying updated with emerging market developments, consumer shopping shifts, e-commerce innovations, direct-to-consumer trends, and global retail dynamics is an essential daily expectation for the position.
Analysts proactively incorporate emerging industry trends, novel data sources, and updated analytical metrics into Bain's ongoing insights generation and IP building workflows.
The CP EDA team designs and deploys interactive visual reporting applications utilizing modern visualization tools like Tableau to construct user-friendly dashboards and visual chartbooks for client case teams worldwide.
The team is actively integrating Generative AI (Gen-AI) platforms, large language model scripts, automated workflow pipelines, and AI-driven predictive tools into its daily analytical framework to multiply client value.
The operating model for this role combines steady-state maintenance of high-value repeat products with fast-paced, high-intensity, short-duration engagements directly supporting live client case teams across global Bain offices.
Analysts operate within flexible, agile, and often virtual team structures, demonstrating strong self-management, high adaptiveness, proactive teamwork, and transparent communication across all operational workflows.
