Profile Overview:
The Data Science Analyst will play a pivotal role in Accertify’s Fraud Decision Sciences team by contributing to the development and implementation of industry-leading Decision Science Solutions and Data Products. The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance fraud prevention efficiency for Accertify’s clients by automating decision-making processes and reducing manual reviews, thereby maintaining or improving fraud detection capabilities.
The successful candidate will focus on building innovative data science models and employing machine learning techniques to create and refine fraud prevention models. Through feature engineering and data analysis, the incumbent will improve risk discrimination while ensuring optimal decision-making. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement models that increase revenue potential and deliver superior outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Fraud Prevention and Risk Management
Develop and deploy fraud prevention solutions tailored to Accertify’s clients.
Analyze and understand key behavioral drivers associated with various types of fraud.
Stay informed about the latest fraud trends and challenges faced by the industry and Accertify’s clientele.
Model Development and Innovation
Utilize advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to develop, enhance, and refine fraud detection models.
Conduct feature engineering to leverage client data from diverse industries to improve model performance and economics.
Innovate by exploring new modeling techniques and enhancing existing frameworks to elevate decision-making efficiency.
Collaboration and Implementation
Collaborate with Accertify colleagues across multiple departments to develop capabilities and implement models that optimize decisions and enhance revenue streams.
Partner with data scientists and engineers to ensure seamless deployment of models and solutions in a production environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Educational Requirements
Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Management.
