Profile Overview:

  • The Junior Data Scientist role at S&P Global Market Intelligence is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about data and analytics. As a key member of our analytics team, you will collaborate closely with senior data scientists and other professionals to support a wide range of data-driven projects that have a direct impact on the company's strategic initiatives.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing complex visualizations, and implementing advanced data models that provide actionable insights to our internal stakeholders.     • Familiarity with data science models and methods, including but not limited to Linear and Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, SARIMAX, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, which are used to create complex visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data sets.
    • A logical approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts.
    • Strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Data Scientists:
    • Collaborate with senior data scientists to contribute to various data science projects, including the development of predictive models and advanced analytics.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
