Profile Overview:

  • The Junior Data Scientist role at S&P Global Market Intelligence is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about data and analytics. As a key member of our analytics team, you will collaborate closely with senior data scientists and other professionals to support a wide range of data-driven projects that have a direct impact on the company's strategic initiatives.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing complex visualizations, and implementing advanced data models that provide actionable insights to our internal stakeholders. Your contributions will be instrumental in transforming raw data into valuable intelligence, enabling informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with data science models and methods, including but not limited to Linear and Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, SARIMAX, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, which are used to create complex visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data sets.
    • A logical approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts.
    • Strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Data Scientists:
    • Collaborate with senior data scientists to contribute to various data science projects, including the development of predictive models and advanced analytics.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
