Profile Overview

The Analyst position is with RCA/Sony's A&R Analytics and Research team.
Central role in constructing statistical insights, conducting research, and analyzing new music.
Key responsibilities include evaluating song performance, identifying new artists, and supporting promotion strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, engineering, applied math, physics, quantitative social sciences, computer science, or similar field.
Training or coursework in statistics and modeling.
Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in data visualization.
Curious and self-motivated.

What You'll Do

Conduct research to evaluate new music and improve understanding of new music metrics.
Collect, prepare, and explore various music data to derive insights.
Develop and test statistical and predictive models to support artist identification and signing decisions.
Communicate closely with analytics and A&R teams to apply music insights.
Develop and implement new analytical processes or technologies.

Additional Information
