Job Overview
The Data Analyst position at Red Bull offers a dynamic environment where you'll leverage your analytical skills to ensure the accuracy and reliability of sales data. Reporting to the Commercial Data Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in data quality assurance, systems integration, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Data Quality and Systems Integration
Collaboration with Third-party Vendors
- Work closely with third-party data processing vendors to ensure the seamless flow of high-quality distributor data into Red Bull systems.
- Engage with distributor technical contacts to troubleshoot data issues promptly.
- Effectively communicate the impact of data issues to internal stakeholders and escalate where necessary.
Requirement Gathering and Communication
- Gather project requirements from sales and distribution teams to align data processes with business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between business and IT departments to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on ongoing data quality enhancement projects.
Commercial Data Expertise
Understanding of Sales Data
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of sales data, data sources, and processes involved in sales planning and performance measurement.
- Become proficient in SAP BI reporting interface and Red Bull data structure to support accurate reporting across the organization.
- Assist other Red Bull users in generating accurate reports tailored to their business needs.
Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to address complex reporting challenges and identify actionable insights.
- Conduct comparative analysis of internal and external data sources to identify reporting discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
Process Improvement
Documentation and System Enhancement
- Assist the Commercial Data team in documenting processes and identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
- Propose process recommendations aimed at enhancing data quality and streamlining reporting procedures.
- Analyze strategies to improve data reliability and usability in reporting activities.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and industry knowledge.
Key Qualifications
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in a data analysis role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data comparison and management of large datasets.
- Familiarity with Tools: Familiarity with data management, business systems, and reporting tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical requirements.
- System Integration Experience: Prior experience in system integration or system administration.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is beneficial but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for the Data Analyst position at Red Bull is $76,095 to $84,105 per year, with the possibility of cash incentives.
