About the Position
As a Data Engineer I at Nissan's Digital Hub in Trivandrum, India, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines, maintaining data quality standards, and delivering high-quality solutions within stipulated timelines. Your responsibilities will include writing scalable, maintainable, and testable code, participating in code reviews and design discussions, and embracing best practices in coding, design, and performance within your team. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to explore and experiment with new and relevant technologies and tools.
Preferred Competencies
- Proficiency in data processing tools (ETL), databases, and cloud-based data services and platforms.
- Experience in developing ETLs or similar data solutions in the Cloud, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing data solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of distributed computing paradigms and open-source data processing frameworks.
- Familiarity with relational databases, ETL design patterns, and development.
- Expertise in data modeling, including Dimensional & transactional modeling using RDBMS, NO-SQL, and Big Data technologies.
- Exposure to cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and AWS Redshift.
- Demonstrated capability in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- In-depth understanding of current and future data trends within the data ecosystem.
- Aptitude to serve as a go-to person for the aforementioned technologies.
Experience & Expertise
- 0-2 years of total work experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology fields.
- Proficiency in quick and excellent problem-solving skills for complex and large-scale distributed problems.
- Understanding of relational databases, ETL design patterns, and ETL development.
- Strong coding skills.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, data design patterns, and standards.
- Experience with data processing/ingestion tools and cloud data services.
- Familiarity with at least one global cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
