Position Overview

MindTickle is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, product management, and partner teams to create solutions addressing the complex data requirements of the MindTickle platform. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new features on the Analytics Data Platform.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager on effective data engineering development strategies and long-term architectural planning.
  • Partner with architects to solve problems.
  • Evaluate and influence relevant technologies, leading architecture and design discussions.
  • Define QA strategies in collaboration with QA teams before releasing a feature.
  • Work with DevOps to define deployment strategies for releases.
  • Periodically optimize the data analytics platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2-8 years of total software development experience in data engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge of Python/Scala/Go/Java.
  • Understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling and Star Schemas for analytical (OLAP) systems.
  • Knowledge of database management systems for OLAP.
  • Experience in data Streaming/Batch Processing using Apache Spark, Kafka, Big Data Querying, and Analytics.
  • Efficient in writing queries in SQL/PL-SQL.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and drive teams toward common goals.
