Job Description:

The Role:

As a Data Scientist II, your mission involves analyzing data to decipher complex patterns of customer behavior and crafting processing pipelines to deliver AI models in production. We invite individuals with a keen eye for detail and robust technical expertise to join us on a journey through expansive datasets, unlocking undiscovered possibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Engage in comprehensive data mining within extensive data repositories, synthesizing significant insights through advanced feature engineering techniques.
2. Utilize proficiency in Python, SQL, and foundational machine learning principles to develop predictive models and algorithms.
3. Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to design and construct data pipelines ensuring efficiency, efficacy, and integrity.
4. Implement meticulous metric definition and optimization processes to guarantee precision and reliability in model outputs.
5. Apply rigorous error analysis methodologies to diagnose and rectify model inaccuracies.
6. Disseminate acquired knowledge and insights across the team, enhancing collective expertise.

Qualifications:

1. Possess 1-3 years of practical experience with Python within a data science capacity and related libraries.
2. Hold solid academic credentials in Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science, or possess commensurate professional experience in modeling using various techniques.
3. Demonstrate a profound understanding of machine learning algorithms from first principles and intuition for model selection based on product requirements.
4. Exhibit proficiency in statistical approaches to data analysis, with a demonstrated ability to correlate complex datasets with usage scenarios and user stories.
5. Have experience with any one of the cloud AI platforms (Azure, Hugging Face, AWS) and are adept at using their APIs to build a robust processing pipeline.
6. A Master’s degree or experience in the insurance/financial sector or D2C/e-commerce is highly regarded, although not mandatory.
