Profile overview:

• The Associate Data Scientist will be part of the Analytics and Innovation team within the Digital Technology organization.

• The team is responsible for addressing complex business challenges through advanced analytics, operations research techniques, and close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

• The role requires working alongside leaders from functions such as Airport Operations, Contact Centers, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Digital Products, and Human Resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or related disciplines.

• 0 to 2 years of professional or academic experience in analytics, optimization, or data science related roles.

• Strong foundation in operations research techniques including linear programming, mixed integer programming, Markov decision processes, and heuristic methods.

• Familiarity with mathematical modeling concepts such as objective functions, constraints, feasibility regions, and optimization solvers.

• Exposure to tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, or similar optimization solvers is advantageous.

• Programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, R, Python, or other structured programming languages.

• Understanding of algorithm design principles and ability to translate mathematical formulations into executable code.

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, both theoretical and applied, is beneficial.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple business domains.
