The Analyst - Data Analytics role at American Express is part of the Enterprise Digital Experimentation & Analytics (EDEA) team.

The analyst will collaborate closely with multiple business units, including Brand and Performance Marketing, Digital Acquisition, Membership Experience, and Enterprise Platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed performance analytics across digital acquisition, membership experiences, and enterprise platforms.

Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health and effectiveness of digital products and marketing channels.
 - 
Analyze campaign results to uncover actionable insights and identify opportunities for optimization.
 - 
Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to align analytical outputs with strategic business goals.
 - 
Apply analytical techniques to large datasets, combining digital activity data with closed-loop enterprise data for comprehensive insights.
 - 
Develop frameworks that measure the success of various marketing and product initiatives.
 - 
Support the creation of new data products and capabilities to enhance analytical efficiency and innovation.
 - 
Interpret experimental data, assess hypotheses, and provide recommendations based on statistical analysis.

Build data-driven presentations and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reporting systems.

Qualifications

A postgraduate degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.

Strong command over programming languages, preferably Python and SQL, for handling large-scale datasets.
 - 
Familiarity with Big Data tools like Hive and Spark, along with basic exposure to data science principles.
 - 
Understanding of data modeling, business intelligence, and reporting tools.
 - 
Ability to process large datasets efficiently and derive meaningful insights from complex data structures.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present insights in a concise and engaging manner.
