Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory for this role; candidates with a background in statistics, economics, engineering, or data science may have an edge.

  • 0.6 to 2 years of experience in forecasting, preferably in a BPO or contact center environment.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is required for data handling and visualization tasks.

  • Exposure to time-series forecasting models and scenario simulation tools will be advantageous.

  • Understanding of machine learning techniques such as linear and logistic regression is important.

  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools like R or Python is preferred but not strictly mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of core contact center metrics and KPIs such as AHT, service level, and call volume trends.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex datasets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Team collaboration and the ability to work cross-functionally with various internal departments.


Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization’s forecasting and budget planning activities.

  • Update forecasts based on actual weekly or monthly performance data to improve model accuracy.

  • Perform trend analysis to propose updates and refinements to existing forecasting methods.

  • Generate different forecast scenarios and finalize predictions based on historical insights and business drivers.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to revise forecasts based on real-time business feedback.

  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term forecasting models that support dynamic business needs.

  • Document forecasting processes thoroughly and revise documentation as business practices evolve.

  • Apply knowledge of WFM tools and concepts, including contact volume predictions and average handle time estimates.

  • Maintain and organize large datasets that serve as inputs for statistical and ML-based forecasting models.

  • Suggest data-driven strategies for better staffing, scheduling, and operational alignment.

  • Excel Proficiency: Must be able to create advanced spreadsheets, use pivot tables, and manage large data sets.

  • Power BI: Should have experience building dashboards and reports for visualization and trend tracking.

  • Data Modeling: Basic to intermediate understanding of statistical models including regression analysis.

  • Machine Learning: Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques such as classification, time series, and optimization.

  • Programming Languages: Familiarity with Python or R for basic data analysis and forecasting tasks.

  • Contact Center Metrics: Strong grasp of KPIs such as service level, AHT, and call volume.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret trends, identify gaps, and deliver actionable insights.

  • Communication: Must be able to present findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, strategy, and HR.

  • Presentation Skills: Essential for presenting forecasts and recommendations to decision-makers.
