Profile Overview:

• Key Role:

  • As an Associate Data Scientist at Rapido, your role is to assist both business and product teams in planning, designing, and analyzing experiments that contribute to the organization’s key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to understand the problem statement and product requirements.
  • Work with both structured and unstructured datasets, managing data from diverse sources.
  • Coordinate with Data Engineers to gather the required data.
  • Perform data exploration, cleaning, and preparation to ensure high-quality analysis.
  • Identify and apply statistical and machine learning models for problem-solving.
  • Maintain and manage a replicable code base for ongoing projects and future research.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Preference for graduates from premier institutes such as ISI, IISC, IIIT, NIT, or other top-tier scientific institutions.

• Work Experience:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist, ideally with exposure to large datasets and statistical analysis.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, including but not limited to Markov Models, Stochastic Models, Bayesian Models, Classification Models, Cluster Analysis, Multivariate Statistics, and Regression Models.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is a must. Familiarity with specific Python libraries like Scikit-learn and Pandas will be crucial to your success in the role.
  • Experience with Kaggle or similar data science competition platforms is a bonus.

• Skills:

  • Problem-solving abilities, with a focus on deriving actionable insights from data.
