Profile Overview
- Objective: The Data Science Intern position at Sony Research India provides a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable industry exposure and hands-on experience with production-level projects.
- Key Role: As a Data Science Intern, the primary responsibility is to contribute to the development of innovative technologies, particularly in the areas of recommendation systems and AI.
- Team Collaboration: Interns will work closely with experienced research scientists and team members on various projects, including tasks related to recommendation systems using Multi-Armed Bandits.
- Daily Activities: Daily responsibilities include training models, testing, debugging, and other activities aimed at building robust AI models.
- Qualifications: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a BTech, MS, MSc, MTech, or PhD and possess strong skills in Python, PyTorch, and recommendation systems.
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PyTorch and other machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) libraries.
- Experience in developing recommendation models for commercial or research purposes.
- Knowledge of Multi-Armed Bandits and their application in solving real-world problems.
- Educational Background:
- Pursuing or completed a BTech, MS, MSc, MTech, or PhD in a relevant field.
- Project Experience:
- Proven experience in developing proof-of-concept (POC) solutions.
- Research Capabilities (Preferred):
- Demonstrated research skills with a track record of publications in top-tier ML conferences.
Additional Information
- Work Location:
- The internship is flexible with options to work remotely or from Mumbai or Bengaluru in India.
- Internship Duration:
- The internship is scheduled to start by the second week of July 2024 and will last for six months.
- Working hours are from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, on a full-time basis.
