As a Data Engineer II at Mastercard, you'll be part of the Data Science & Engineering team. You'll develop data and analytics solutions leveraging vast datasets from various consumer-focused industries. Your role involves creating high-performance algorithms, advanced analytical techniques, and intuitive workflows. With billions of transactions at your disposal, you'll drive insights that propel business growth. Collaboration is key as you work with cross-functional teams to innovate and solve complex business problems. Your responsibilities also include evangelizing releases, collecting feedback, and refining solutions iteratively.

  • Evaluate and prioritize analytics solutions considering usability, feasibility, and stakeholder input.
  • Clean, structure, and analyze data sets to identify trends and insights.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of statistical analytical techniques, coding, and data engineering.
  • Experience with open-source tools, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Python/Spark, Hadoop platforms & tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi), SQL.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Superior academic record from a leading national university.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
