Profile Overview:

• Role and Impact: In the position of Business Analyst for YouTube's Trust & Safety team, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the platform's credibility and user trust.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology.
  • Have at least one year of experience in roles related to data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or technical operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in statistical problem-solving and data analysis using SQL or other coding languages (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in managing projects and optimizing processes through data analytics.
  • Ability to write and maintain ETL processes for handling various structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Knowledge of systems related to abuse prevention, policy enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in generating production-level metrics and actionable insights.
  • Competence in addressing high-priority regulatory requests efficiently.

Core Responsibilities:

• Operational Metrics Development: Create, build, and measure performance on operational metrics such as productivity, service level agreements, quality, cost, efficiency, and timeliness to drive operational improvements.
• Policy Impact Analysis: Understand the impact of policies on users, gain expertise in key metrics, and conduct detailed analyses that provide actionable insights to enhance user experience on the platform.
• Analytical Support: Run ongoing and ad-hoc analyses to support site-wide Trust & Safety objectives, operational effectiveness, and incident response initiatives.
• Collaboration: Work with Operations, Engineering, Legal, Public Relations, and Product Management teams to develop compelling data-driven narratives for key stakeholders, including policy makers and executives.
• Advanced Quantitative Analysis: Partner with data science and strategy teams to prioritize and execute complex quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that deliver actionable insights.

• Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with data-driven objectives and operational goals.
