The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at IIT Bombay is embarking on a large-scale education outreach initiative in the field of Computer Science. The project aims to leverage technology to provide high-quality educational resources and support to students nationwide. As a Project Technical Assistant - Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing various ed-tech platforms, including a Learning Management System, Lab platform, Assessment platforms, and AI Research infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems and collaborate with top experts in the field.

Qualifications:

Eligibility:

BTech/BE/MCA/MSc degree
Proficiency in spreadsheet programming (Google Sheets, MS Excel)
Experience with Linux scripting (bash, sed, awk)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and R
Familiarity with technologies like XML, JSON, and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
Knowledge of Indian Privacy laws and Agile Methodology

Desired Profile:

Extracting data from databases, web applications, or filesystems using various software tools
Identifying inconsistencies in data and collaborating with teams to address issues
Reorganizing data using Python or similar scripting languages
Supporting data sourcing, cleaning, transformation, ingestion, and discovery
Analyzing data quality and integrity
Anonymizing data and facilitating access for research purposes
Working with stakeholders to identify process improvements and implement data governance strategies

Selection criteria:

Candidates will undergo a selection process consisting of a test and an interview conducted at IIT Bombay. The test will include programming questions and objective questions on computer science subjects. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
