Additionally, you will provide support for application codes and analytical models, contributing to the optimization of data processes.
Responsibilities
Design and Development of Data Solutions
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing data-ingestion frameworks and real-time processing solutions. This involves creating solutions that facilitate the seamless integration and flow of data across the organization's data ecosystem.
Support and Deployment
You will be responsible for deploying and providing support for application codes and analytical models. This includes offering system support as part of a support rotation with other team members, ensuring the smooth operation of data processes.
Business Analysis and ETL Development
One of your key responsibilities will be to provide business analysis and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) code and scripting to meet technical specifications and business requirements. This involves understanding business needs and translating them into technical solutions.
Leveraging Technologies
You will utilize various technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark (SQL, Scala, Java), Python, and the Hadoop Platform to develop real-time data ingestion and stream-analytic solutions. Additionally, you will employ multiple development languages/tools like Python, SPARK, Hive, Presto, and Java to build prototypes and evaluate results for effectiveness and feasibility.
Compliance and Governance
Ensuring compliance with data governance policies is a critical aspect of your role. This includes implementing or validating data lineage, quality checks, and data classification to maintain data integrity and security.
Lifecycle Management
You will follow the company's development lifecycle to design, deploy, and deliver solutions. This involves adhering to standard system development methodologies and concepts to ensure the superior performance and integrity of application systems.
