Team Overview: The Analytics Platform team is committed to democratizing learning by developing systems that facilitate company-wide analytics and experimentation. Our mission involves implementing robust instrumentation, creating intuitive data models, and constructing batch/streaming pipelines. Through the development of self-serve tools and capabilities like forecasting and experimentation, we empower various stakeholders within the company to make informed decisions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Drive significant business impact with high-level visibility.
• Architect and implement technical components from the ground up during the transition to event-based analytics.
• Tackle the unique challenge of integrating diverse online and offline data sets.
• Expand skills in Data Science and Data Analytics within the same organization.
• Progress into a Tech Lead/Manager role and mentor junior team members as the team grows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineers to instrument backend services and user journeys.
• Develop and monitor scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines and integrate with third-party tools.
• Work with data analysts and scientists to design data models supporting metrics and machine learning.
• Establish best practices for data engineering.
• Evaluate build vs. buy tradeoffs for components in the company-wide analytics platform.
• Be a founding member of the Data Engineer team in Hyderabad, contributing to the team's vision, roadmap, and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• 6+ years of experience in event instrumentation, data pipelines, and data warehouses, with a preference for past experience as a data architect.
• Expertise in systems design and data modeling.
• Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Ability to break down complex problems, document solutions, and sequence work for iterative improvements.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Mode, Tableau, and Looker.
• Programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Understanding of software design principles, including test-driven development.
