Short Description:

We are hiring a Product Analyst for the Monetisation analytics team at Disney+ Hotstar, one of India's leading video platforms. The role involves executing growth initiatives, conducting experiments, and providing actionable insights to enhance revenue streams. The Monetisation team focuses on building a scalable Subscription Platform and a top Video Advertising Platform in India, with ambitions for global expansion. The ideal candidate will collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams, shape real-time data systems, and contribute to A/B testing and reporting. A strong analytical background, proficiency in R, SQL, and Python, and 2-4 years of experience in Business/Product Analytics are preferred.

Job Overview: The Monetisation analytics team is seeking a dynamic Product Analyst to contribute to growth initiatives, conduct experiments, and derive actionable insights to enhance revenue streams.

About the Team:

Monetisation Team: We have established one of India's largest, highly scalable, and distributed Subscription Platforms in the OTT landscape. Our Ad Platform, a top Video Advertising Platform in India, complements this scale. The goal is to make it the largest Video Advertising Platform by leveraging expertise in Video-On-Demand, Live Sports, and Ads. We aim to expand our footprint globally, leveraging India's freemium model. The Disney+ Hotstar MarTech platform has replaced a globally renowned third-party vendor, providing a more customized and cost-effective in-house solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Learn and execute analytics requirements for the POD.
  2. Apply analytics knowledge/skills to problem-solving and deliver actionable insights for user experience and monetization.
  3. Collaborate with the data engineering team to shape robust and real-time data systems with appropriate instrumentation and visualization capabilities.
  4. Work with data quality and analytics teams to enhance and automate the quality of instrumentation, co-owning data correctness with teams.
  5. Actively participate in setting up reliable A/B tests.
  6. Build reports and dashboards to promote data awareness within the organization and reflect the health of different initiatives.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, advanced analysis, and proficiency in R, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience with Reporting/BI tools, data warehousing concepts, and ETL development and tools.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics and clickstream data.
  • Desired experience with distributed analytic processing technologies (e.g., Hive).
  • Exposure to tools like Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics, AppsFlyer, Localytics, Apsalar, etc.
  • Strong analytical orientation and consumer understanding.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • B.Tech/B.E/ Masters in Computer Science/Mathematics/Operational Research/Statistics/Physics from a reputable college.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Business/Product Analytics.
