About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging your quantitative analysis skills and data interpretation abilities to gain insights into user interactions with our core products. Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, you'll contribute to problem-solving, trend identification, and the discovery of opportunities. Your influence will extend to informing, supporting, and executing product decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor product performance. Managing the development of data resources, gathering requirements, organizing sources, and supporting product launches will be integral to your role.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand user interactions with core products.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify trends, solve problems, and uncover opportunities.
- Inform, influence, support, and execute product decisions.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics for monitoring product performance.
- Extract valuable product insights from extensive data mining.
- Manage the development of data resources, gather requirements, organize sources, and support product launches.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Over 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably within a social web company.
- Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages.
- Experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop) is an advantage.
- Proven ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Effective communication of analysis results in a clear manner.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
