Tower Research Capital, an innovative high-frequency proprietary trading firm established in 1998, is actively seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our Core AI & Machine Learning team as an Intern. This unique opportunity offers a six-month term, providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

As an ML Engineering Intern at Tower Research Capital, you will be an integral part of our Core AI & Machine Learning team, contributing to cutting-edge projects and gaining valuable experience. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Implementation of CI/CD Tools: Spearhead the setup of in-house CI/CD tools to streamline the deployment of machine learning models into production environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our processes.

2. Data Pipeline Development: Engage in the creation of robust data pipelines for the purpose of cleaning, collecting, processing, and analyzing diverse datasets, contributing to the overall success of machine learning initiatives.

3. Algorithm and Model Development: Support the team in the development and implementation of statistical and machine learning algorithms, actively participating in the entire model life cycle from conception to deployment.

4. Performance Evaluation: Conduct experiments and tests to assess the performance of machine learning models, providing critical insights for continuous improvement.

5. Model Optimization: Contribute to the optimization and fine-tuning of existing machine learning models, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Educational Background: Hold a bachelor’s, master's, or ongoing PhD degree from a top-tier university, with availability to join from January 2024 for a six-month, in-office internship.

2. Technical Proficiency: Mandatory prior experience with training, building, and deploying models using Tensorflow/Pytorch or similar frameworks.

3. CI/CD and MLOps: Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps for automating model deployments.

4. Technical Skills: Proficient in using Linux, SQL, Git, and BASH scripting, with strong hands-on experience in Python programming.

5. Finance Domain (Optional): Experience in the Finance domain is a plus and will be considered favorably.
