Profile Overview:

• The ESG Data Analyst in the ESG Newsroom unit is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and validating ESG-related news from various sources.

• This role involves reviewing press articles, NGO reports, and governmental data to identify corporate controversies and sustainability trends.

• The analyst will support the E&S Data Stewardship team by contributing to data cataloging and enhancing the consolidation of environmental and social data.

• Collaborating with AI/ML and NLP experts, the analyst will work on refining news capture and indexing processes.

• The role requires strong analytical skills to assess alternative ESG data and improve data collection methodologies.

• The analyst will be involved in process optimization initiatives to strengthen the ISS ESG Newsroom product offering.

• Responsibilities include identifying alternative sources of ESG information to supplement corporate disclosures and improve the accuracy of data collection.

• The analyst will be expected to contribute to team discussions and provide insights that aid in the refinement of ESG data frameworks.

• Additional tasks involve creating data visualizations to support research projects and analyzing ESG trends for enhanced reporting.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Journalism, Environmental Science, ESG, Sustainability, or related fields is preferred.

• A master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.

• 0 to 3 years of experience in research and ESG data analysis.

• Strong command of the English language with excellent writing and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

• A strong interest in business, finance, and sustainability-related topics.

• Attention to detail and a thorough approach to work are essential.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work towards deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• A proactive attitude with a drive for continuous improvement and process enhancement.
