Profile Overview:

• As a Data Engineer at AtkinsRéalis, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data pipelines that support data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure technologies.
• The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and design efficient data workflows.
• You will work with various Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage, ensuring data quality through validation and cleansing procedures.
• Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, developing complex SQL queries, and designing database objects such as tables, views, and indexes.
• This role also involves optimizing data pipelines for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Additionally, proficiency in Azure Data Bricks, Python, and SQL Server stored procedures is essential.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling large data sets, managing system and acceptance testing, and evaluating project deliverables to ensure top-tier quality.
• The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in both a team environment and independently, and enthusiasm to explore new data structures and systems.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience designing and implementing data pipelines in Azure (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage).
  • Expertise in building and maintaining ETL processes using Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Bricks and Python.
  • Proficiency in developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions in SQL Server.
  • Experience with database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of data validation and cleansing methodologies to ensure data integrity.
  • Familiarity with LogicApp and PowerBI is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new data technologies.
  • Ability to lead query optimization efforts and improve data pipelines for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
