Profile Overview:

  • As a Data Analyst at Allica Bank, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment that leverages data to drive key business decisions.
  • Data is at the core of everything we do, playing a crucial role in understanding our products, services, and customer needs.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to work with various departments such as Finance, Operations, Credit Risk, and Product teams, providing them with data insights that help in decision-making processes.
  • You will be a key member of the Lending Tribe, responsible for generating meaningful analytics and insights that influence the bank’s overall strategy and operations.
  • This role requires someone with a strong curiosity and ambition to explore data in-depth, uncover trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • The ability to bridge the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders is crucial, as you will be helping to facilitate conversations around data.
  • Your insights will directly impact the business by helping the Lending team make informed decisions based on the data you analyze and visualize.
  • You will also focus on enhancing our capabilities in automated reporting and data visualization, ensuring that the Lending Tribe has access to accurate, timely, and valuable insights.
  • In addition to supporting the Lending Tribe, you will collaborate with stakeholders across different business units to ensure their data needs are met efficiently.
  • The ability to tell stories with data and present findings in a way that drives business actions will be a critical part of your role.
  • Your work will not only shape the way we understand our business but also contribute to the continuous improvement of our data processes and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

  • A background in data analysis, ideally with some experience in finance, although this is not a strict requirement.
  • A strong passion for working with data, and an eagerness to investigate and challenge existing narratives using data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential, especially the ability to write complex queries that can combine multiple data sources to produce comprehensive reports.
  • You should be comfortable working with stakeholders across various business functions, building relationships and ensuring their data requirements are met.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into business-friendly language that stakeholders can easily understand.
  • Familiarity with Python programming is a plus, but not essential—what matters most is a strong willingness and enthusiasm to learn this skill if needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while always maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and finding new insights from data.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is desirable, as you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards for the Lending Tribe.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data insights presented to stakeholders.
  • A customer-centric mindset, where you continuously look for ways to improve data reporting processes and deliver better insights to support the bank’s goals.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage various tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in developing automated reports and data workflows will be an advantage, helping to streamline reporting processes across the team.
  • Familiarity with working in an agile or fast-paced environment, where priorities can shift, and the ability to adapt is essential for success.
