Role Overview

As a Data Analyst II at Apex Group Ltd., you will be responsible for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making across the organization. Working within the Data Office and reporting to the Head of Data & Insight, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets. By developing robust data models and employing advanced analytical techniques, you will uncover actionable insights that inform business strategy and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities of a Data Analyst II

Data Collection and Preparation

  • Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources into usable formats for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain efficient data models, databases, and reporting systems to streamline data management processes.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets to support strategic business decisions.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and generate meaningful reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics for measuring business performance.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written reports.

Data Quality Assurance and Optimization

  • Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements for the Role

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data manipulation techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and tools (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing, clustering).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency and experience using Cloud Technologies including AWS, Azure.
  • Experience using Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.

Soft Skills
