Role Overview

Fractal seeks a skilled Power Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for crafting and managing BI and analytics solutions that translate raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in data and business analysis, coupled with exceptional analytical skills and communication abilities. Job Description

  • Design and Development of Power BI Dashboards: Utilize your expertise to design and develop Power BI dashboards tailored to meet our clients' specific needs.
  • Understanding Business Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their business requirements and the questions they aim to address.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with offshore teams to ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • KPI Alignment: Align on key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify relevant data sources for utilization.
  • Mock-Up Design: Design and align on mock-ups to visualize the intended dashboard layout and functionality.
  • Visual Design and KPI Definition: Define appropriate visuals and key KPIs to expedite insights generation.
  • Data Extraction and Transformation: Collaborate with the IT team to perform data extraction and transformation processes necessary for dashboard creation.
  • Prototype Development: Develop the mock-up design in Power BI and populate the dashboard with real data.
  • Feedback Incorporation: Implement feedback from business users to refine and finalize the dashboard design.
  • Scaling and Maintenance: Scale, maintain, and improve existing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Data Refresh: Regularly refresh the prototype with live data to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Data Transformation and Standardization: Perform necessary data transformations to ensure compatibility and scalability across different geographic regions and categories.
  • Production Migration: Migrate solutions from prototype to the production environment, ensuring seamless transition and functionality.
  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare comprehensive documentation (both process and technical) to facilitate knowledge transfer to the production team.
  • Transition Support: Provide support and consultation to the production team during the transition phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Must-Have Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Analytics/Visualizations with significant project work experience using Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI, including proficiency in establishing gateways, embedding, DAX, and Paginated Reports.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying the Power BI service to mid-market and/or enterprise-scale organizations.
  • Proficiency in basic ETL using MQuery, connections to various data sources, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with data manipulation in SQL.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing data models and data integration.
  • Excellent visualization skills using Tableau or other BI tools.

Additional Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, DAX Query, Power Query, Dashboarding, Data Modeling, Storytelling, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.).
