Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our innovative and evolving technical environment. We are dedicated to building robust, scalable, and reliable solutions. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate technologies, create proof of concepts (POCs), address technical challenges, and propose inventive solutions for both technical and business issues.
• Develop high-quality, well-tested, scalable, and reliable business applications to delight stakeholders, customers, and partners.
• Design, build, and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines with scalability in mind.
• Architect, develop, and maintain our Modern Lake House Platform using AWS native infrastructure.
• Create complex data models to deliver insights and support self-service capabilities.
• Take ownership of scaling, performance, security, and reliability within our data infrastructure.
• Lead the hiring process and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with remote development teams and cross-functional groups in an agile development environment, participating in code reviews.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data engineering and BI solutions.
• Proficiency in database technologies such as Redshift, Synapse DW, Snowflake, etc.
• Experience with BI Solutions like Looker, Power BI, Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, etc.
• Expertise in ETL Design and Orchestration using platforms like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, etc.
• Proficient in querying massive datasets using languages like Kafka, SQL, Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.
• Experience in performance tuning complex data warehouses and queries.
• Ability to solve problems related to scale, performance, security, and reliability.
• Self-driven with strong initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor junior engineers.
