Responsibilities:

Evaluate technologies, create proof of concepts (POCs), address technical challenges, and propose inventive solutions for both technical and business issues.
Develop high-quality, well-tested, scalable, and reliable business applications to delight stakeholders, customers, and partners.
Design, build, and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines with scalability in mind.
Architect, develop, and maintain our Modern Lake House Platform using AWS native infrastructure.
Create complex data models to deliver insights and support self-service capabilities.
Take ownership of scaling, performance, security, and reliability within our data infrastructure.
Lead the hiring process and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with remote development teams and cross-functional groups in an agile development environment, participating in code reviews.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data engineering and BI solutions.
Proficiency in database technologies such as Redshift, Synapse DW, Snowflake, etc.
Experience with BI Solutions like Looker, Power BI, Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, etc.
Expertise in ETL Design and Orchestration using platforms like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, etc.
Proficient in querying massive datasets using languages like Kafka, SQL, Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.
Experience in performance tuning complex data warehouses and queries.
Ability to solve problems related to scale, performance, security, and reliability.
Self-driven with strong initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor junior engineers.
