About the Position Role Overview

The Senior Business Data Analyst is tasked with leading or supporting critical Insights projects, involving the collection, cleansing, integration, and analysis of diverse and occasionally imperfect data to address business inquiries and guide decision-making. The chosen candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define project needs, conduct analyses with required input, and communicate findings through dashboards, presentations, and other accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify patterns and detect anomalies using statistical tools, and optionally, machine learning algorithms.
• Spearhead improvements in products and processes across a range of projects within Item and Inventory organization.
• Devise effective solutions for data inconsistencies and inconclusive data.
• Lead projects with minimal guidance, offering thought leadership by researching best practices and conducting experiments.
• Evaluate various analytical and statistical methods, providing recommendations on their relevance, applicability, and efficiency.
• Present data insights to stakeholders through rich visualizations and storytelling.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in handling large datasets and data warehouses, including the ability to extract data using advanced scripting or SQL.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Access, and VBA.
• Proficient in Data Visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Experience with Python or R to facilitate predictive analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent logical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Background in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or related discipline with 5 to 8+ years of experience (5+ relevant).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience (in SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant job experience in Python/ML/AI.
• Hands-on experience with BI Tools, ETL, data processing, database programming, and data analytics & reporting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of RPA is a plus.
• Familiarity with working in a cloud environment (AWS) is beneficial.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
