Product Manager, Android Platform Security 

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years of extensive experience in product management.
• Proficiency with the Android platform and its ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in crafting strategic product roadmaps and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Track record of developing and launching products or technologies in security, privacy, or a related domain.
• Familiarity with the Android malware landscape and understanding of security and privacy issues on mobile platforms.

The Android Security and Privacy team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Android users and their devices worldwide. Core responsibilities involve delivering features and policies to prevent the installation and execution of abusive and fraudulent apps.

In this role, you will actively contribute to a visible, cross-functional initiative with the Privacy Sandbox team and engage in platform-wide endeavors addressing critical malware issues in Android.

• Develop a product roadmap based on market trends, user and partner needs, technology advancements, and Google/Android-wide initiatives.
• Formulate high-quality Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and collaborate closely with engineering for successful execution.
• Launch and implement capabilities, measuring their success.
• Collaborate across the Android organization to ensure consistent security experiences throughout different segments of Android.
• Work closely with OEM partners to integrate security features into devices.
