Position: Head – Data Science

Tech Expertise:

1. Seventy percent of the role focuses on Data Science, including AI/ML and Advanced Analytics.
2. Proficiency in coding is essential.
3. Mandatory exposure to Python and SQL.
4. Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Role Purpose:

As the Head of Data Science, your primary responsibility is to lead and shape the data science strategy, utilizing advanced analytics to optimize business performance. This pivotal role involves developing and executing data-driven initiatives, leading a team of data scientists, and collaborating across functions to generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall data science strategy aligned with company goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges addressed through data science.
• Design and implement advanced analytics models to extract insights from large datasets.
• Drive development and deployment of machine learning models for process optimization and revenue growth.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science and identify opportunities for application.
• Ensure data quality through robust governance practices and effective data management.
• Present data-driven insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external partners for additional data sources and expertise.

Qualifications:

• BTECH Degree in relevant fields (Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics).
• 12-16 years of experience in analytics and/or data science.
• Proven leadership experience (4+ years) in data science or analytics.
• Exposure to team management in a large-scale setting.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong business acumen aligning data science initiatives with business objectives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in Retail & QSR is advantageous.
